Tour D (5 Days)
Taroudant > Valley of Roses > Tinghir > Zagora > Erg Cheggaga > Foum Zguid
We start in the morning in Agadir and stop in Taroudant to discover the comprehensive tourist attractions. Afterwards we take lunch in Tiout. In the afternoon we visit Ait Ben Haddou and spend the night in Ouarzazate.
After an early morning visit to the Kasbah Taourit in Ouarzazate, we continue our journey towards el Kalaa M’Gouna (Valley of Roses). Afterwards we visit the Kasbah Amridil and then we have lunch in the Dades Gorge. The trip takes us to Tinghir in the afternoon, where we also spend the night.
Departure at 8:00 in Tinghir to the Todra Gorge. We’ll then head to Alnif, where we’ll have lunch and then continue to Tansikht, spending the whole afternoon crossing the remarkable and beautiful Draà Valley. It is the largest palm grove of the world and stretches over nearly 100 km. The night will be spent in Zagora.
Departure at 9am from Zagora towards the south with a stop in Tamegroute where a pottery, known for its green glazed ceramics, is located. We’ll visit the underground Kasbah and the local Koran library and then continue to the dunes of Tinfou. After a short stop for photos, we’ll reach M’Hamid El Ghizlane, the last small town in the south and section of the old Paris-Dakar circuit.
After lunch, we’ll be going on an unpaved road with the off-road vehicle 60 km to the bivouac camp. In the heart of the gold-colored dunes of Erg Cheggaga you can admire a unique sunset on one of the most beautiful dunes in Morocco. You will spend the night in a nomad tent or in the open air (bivouac).
Early in the morning you have the opportunity to watch the sunrise and enjoy the vastness and quiet of the desert. After breakfast, we’ll continue to the Oasis town Foum Zguid and the river Iriki. Afterwards our route takes us to Agadir.
