Casablanca > Rabat > High Atlas > Tinerhir > Ouarzazate > Marrakech > Casablanca
At the beginning of our trip we go on a city tour in the coastal city of Casablanca. The Hassan II Mosque, which we visit from the outside, is the main tourist attraction of the city. It is the fifth largest mosque in the world and can accommodate 25,000 people.
Drive to Rabat where we visit the mausoleum of Mohammed V, the archaeological museum and the unfinished mosque. Afterwards we travel to Meknes where we visit the most beautiful city gate of the country “Bab Mansour” and the Mausoleum.
In the morning we explore more sights and the impressive architectural styles of the city. Then we arrive at Volubilis, which offers a magnificent view over the surrounding valleys. In the afternoon we arrive at Fes, the oldest of the four royal cities of Morocco.
In the morning we explore Fes in detail, the medina, the old town is protected under UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. After lunch, we admire the rich palace complexes of New-Fez.
We cross the Cedar forests of the Middle Atlas and go over the Col du Zad Pass to the crossing of the High Atlas. Our daily destination is Tafilalet where we stop in the capital Erfoud.
With the jeep we go to the sand dunes of Merzouga where we enjoy the sunrise. Our further journey follows via the caravan town Rissani, south of the high atlas to the Todra Gorge near Tinerhir, which we explore extensively. This is also where we spend the night.
In the morning our journey will take us along the incomparable Dades river valley through the Todra Gorge. In the afternoon we reach Ouarzazate, which has often been used as a backdrop in Hollywood movies (among other things, Gladiator) in its picturesque architectural style. This is the reason why several film studios have settled in the area.
In the morning we visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou and then travel by jeep over the High Atlas to Marrakech. Here we spend the rest of the day and stay at the hotel or riad.
We use the day to explore the many sights of Marrakech. Among other things, the Medina (Old Town), the Majorelle Garden, the magnificent Mosque and the Bahia Palace. We use the afternoon to discover the world-famous market square Djemaa el Fna in all its colorful variety.
Before our return to Casablanca you are at leisure to stroll through Marrakech. In Casablance we take our last dinner together, then transfer to the hotel.
